And by numismatic coins I’m not referring to those overpriced brand new slabbed coins sold by Numis Network either… I’m referring to real numismatic coins… the older the better.

Yeah, and if you have to chose between getting foreclosed and selling your gold/silver bullion, you’re surely going to chose keeping your bullion… [rolleyes]

The fact is: numismatic coins will always be worth as much as bullion, plus their numismatic premium…

If any of you want to sell your numismatic coins under BV, please send me a message asap (even during the prophesied deflation). :D

What happens to gold/silver in deflation? I know Mike has said that in a deflation, gold and silver will go up, and in inflation, they will go up massively. But why would gold/silver go up in both situations?

Coin collector and Investor is 2 very very different people. But, Investors and Cycles investors are also 2 very very different people. I explain, and coach friends, they ask my advice, they buy silver, then I ask them.. “if your grandson or daughter just left school, wants to start some type of investment, what type of asset would you tell them to buy?” some of these sheep still say.. Buy a house!! OMG!!

Fantastic to hear mike say that
I said that in a video on my old channel 6 months ago, and a few “experts” didn’t like it. Collector Coins are for the same people who have stamp collections. I made a DVD and passed it out to a few family members and friends, 2 of them being a Coin Collectors. They had no idea about the gold and Silver Values going up, and both said that good old line… 1 day, these will be worth allot of money!! Yep.. Just like the stamp collection. Coin collector, is very ver

@TheWeeklyTelegram You are talking about barter in a grid down scenario which is ridiculous. Just pick up a copy of a few different world coin magazines and see how auctions are going in Europe, Asia, NYC. I am not talking about some guy with an album of wheat pennies. I am talking about coins that I myself could not afford and I actually am mostly in bullion. Its the same as rare paintings, rare cars, etc – people who are experts can make money.

Honestly, I like Maloney, but he is warning people off from numismatic coins in a general sense instead of acknowledging that there are possibly some exceptions. It is like any other market – if you don’t know what you are doing you will probably get taken to the cleaners. However, many people have made a lot of money in rare coins, but they were true numismatists (coin experts), not just casual investors looking for one more thing to diversify into.
